I work with families and churches to create safe places for children to learn.

Parents of children with unique needs often feel overwhelmed by IEP meetings, while churches long to include every child but don't know where to start.

I guide families through the IEP process and equip churches with simple, effective strategies to create inclusive ministries. Together, we'll replace confusion with clarity and create safe, supportive spaces where every child can heal, learn, and belong.

Anna Buerky with her daughter

Hi, I'm Anna!

As a parent of a child with special needs and a history of trauma, I've felt the pain, fear, and frustration that comes with trying to meet unique needs in everyday spaces.

I've spent countless late nights Googling, scrolling Facebook support groups, and talking to all. the. therapists—hoping to find that one magic tip that would change everything. Something that would help her teachers see all of her—not just the behaviors. Something that would help her feel truly seen and understood at church.

Along the way, I found a lot of advice. Some of it was incredibly helpful. Some… not so much.

After a particularly tough year navigating the IEP table and church inclusion, I knew things had to change—not just for us, but for other families too.

Now, as a Trauma-Informed Specialist, Master IEP Coach®, and Special Needs Church Consultant, I get to walk alongside families and ministries to create safer, more supportive spaces. I'd love to connect and see how I can support your journey—whether it's at school, at church, or both.

Kind Words from Clients

"Anna was a breath of fresh air to our family. Anna took a complex situation with the school district and broke it down for us, leading us step by step to resolution. She helped us communicate clearly and effectively with the school so that our child's big picture needs were fairly represented in the IEP. We could not have done this without Anna's help. She has expertise about the system and rules and can help guide you in conversations so that your children will get equal opportunity and all they deserve."

Meg
